Call for Artists: 22nd Annual Art Studio Clearance Sale

The Art Studio Clearance Sale is one of the most anticipated shows in Ohio by artists and shoppers alike! Booth fees are low, hours are easy and no fancy set-up is required.  Shoppers eager to buy line up early from our parking lot to the front door ready to take home the deals.

  • Do you have work sitting in your studio that you aren's crazy about?
  • Do you need feedback from shoppers on new work, designs, colors?
  • Unload a kiln during the year only to discover a few firing mishaps?
  • Have you been hauling around pieces that can't seem to find a home? 
BRING THEM TO THE ART STUDIO CLEARANCE SALE!

  • Remember the fun of shopping with "blue light specials"?  WE HAVE THEM HERE! We roll out the flashing blue light for artists and announce creative sales gimmicks throughout the show to drive shoppers to your booth.
  • Artists only "Garage Sale Swap" - look behind the curtain for artists   supplies, display materials, tents, dollies, whatever any of our artists need to unload.  Deals are made between artists-one artists's trash is another artists' treasure!

Call for Artists: Garage Sale Art Fair

6a00e54fba8a7388330133f50cc326970b-pi The Garage Sale Art Fair is the place for "art fair artists" to sell anything art related. It's 6 1/2 hours of as much fun as we can make it. This is a garage sale for artists to sell their overstock, seconds, things you're tired of, damaged items, duds, bring them here. That vase you traded for but no longer want? This is the place to sell it.

We have eager customers looking for markdowns, seconds and great deals on artwork.  In 2014 we had 3,500 people come through our doors.  They're lined up early, waiting for us to open and for the buying to begin.

No need to set up your regular art fair booth. Make it easy on yourself and rent a table or two, make some SALE signs and have fun! Friday night set-up is now available as well as early Saturday morning. But this doesn't mean we want fancy displays. The customer lines form early so keep it simple. You can see images on our website showing what last year's show looked like.
 
CANCELLATION POLICY

If you have to cancel for any reason, and we can fill your booth, we refund your booth fee. In full.

We are having a pizza party for everyone right at the Expo Center during the Friday set-up!

Also new, we have changed the layout somewhat due to the concerns about overcrowding (fire marshal). Instead of the first smaller building we're using the larger building on the other side of the main building (long time exhibitors will remember it as the Hazel Grey building).
It has better access and allows us to make it a better experience for the early morning crowds. We have added about 15 booths because of this but we are not using the whole building.

GENERAL INFORMATION
 
Bonnie Blandford and Michael Kifer of Road Wife Productions LLC, both of whom make their living doing art fairs around the country.  So it's run by artists and our focus is to help you sell your work. Although the show is picked by Michael and Bonnie, looking for the most balanced, wonderful show.  We do invite some people to do the show but the majority of the show is filled during the jurying/choosing and everyone must apply through www.Zapplication.org

ADVERTISING

For the last show we adv ertised on 4 television stations, 2 specialty papers, 2 billboards, did a postcard mailing to past customers plus e-mail blasts.  We heavily use Facebook for artist promotion and images and one of last year's promotions had almost 51,000 views!  We hand out cards all year around for the show plus put it everywhere we can possibly find on the Internet.

Call for Artists: ArtWorks - Studio Clearance Sale

We all have them...pieces of art that sit in the corner of our studio.  For whatever reason, we no longer take them to art show.  We don't like them, they are damaged, we are tired of looking at them...whatever.  We don't want to throw them out.  What can we do with them?   Now, you can clean out your studios, reduce the price and blow out the inventory in January at the Waukesha Expo, 1000 Northview Rd., Waukesha, WI.

 

Public Admission is $3 or bring 2 canned food items, get into the show FREE!  All food items and any money collected goes to the Food Pantry of Waukesha, our non-profit partner.  Parking is free.
