This is an outdoor festival in Beautiful Historic Downtown Sanford, three blocks from the St. Johns River. The district surrounded by shops, restaurants, pubs, and more. Many airbnb's and hotels are close by; self-contained RV area; brick-lined streets; and so much more.

The 13th Annual St. Johns River Festival of the Arts is open to fine artists and fine craftsmanship. Sorry, no crafts. This is a juried fine art and fine craftsmanship event (sorry, not crafts) with the application fee a low $25. Booth spaces are a reasonable $235 and $275. The art festival is limited to 150 artists.

Prize award money is $15,000. See our website for a breakdown in awards. Staff is friendly and helpful. Applying artists receive free breakfast and lunch at the artist retreat, Saturday and Sunday. Drive thru registration and easy load in/load out with setup beginning Friday at 3pm.

Each year we showcase art demonstrations and encourage artists to demonstrate. We are committed to public art education. Extensive advertising is down each year on billboards, radio, digital, posters, social media and more!

The 2024 Melbourne Art Festival will once again be held at beautiful Wickham Park in Melbourne. The award-winning festival, which draws tens of thousands of art and music lovers from throughout Central Florida, is a vibrant family friendly event that promotes and encourages artistic endeavors, education, and appreciation of the arts.
The Melbourne Art Festival is a juried Fine Arts Show, drawing artists from throughout Florida and the United States. The Melbourne Art Festival was selected as one of the Top 100 fine art shows in the US in 2023 and over the past ten years by Sunshine Artist Magazine; a 2021 Finalist for Florida Today’s ‘Best of Brevard Awards’ in the non-profit category; and the 2023 winner of Best Festival by Space Coast Living Magazine.

Among the many highlights of the 2024 festival:

• Nationally ranked and juried fine art show displaying original works of art in a variety of medias competing for over $20,000 in awards
• Artist booths, stage, food court, & beverage stations are around the back lake, among the trees and breezes of Wickham Park
• VIP Patron Program providing an invitation to an exclusive artist reception after the show Saturday
• Live music featuring top local and regional bands

The Melbourne Art Festival is a Not for Profit 501-C3 organization
whose mission is to promote and encourage artistic endeavors, education, and appreciation.
The festival is run completely by volunteers.
