Laguna Beach Art Affair?

Has anyone done this 9 week show?  I can think of worse ways to spend June, July, and August (in Florida)...but is this a good fine art venue?  One artist told me to avoid the Sawdust festival, as it tended towards crafts, and thought maybe Art Affair only allowed CA residents, but I don't see anything on the eligibility indicating that.  My board would fit perfectly next to my tent :)

  • That's what I heard,it's the only one that accepts non-CA artists.  I sell reproductions, so it might be a doable show.  I'm doing AZ Expo right now, and I really love the established for 10 weeks bit!   Looks like Art Affair is a little less expensive than here tooo.
  • I haven't exhibited in years there. You don't use a tent, they construct walls under their tent and the spaces are varied. It is a coop and you have to volunteer or pay someone to do your hours of service for the show. I did the show for three years... but I couldn't make it work enough to leave my work there all summer. I only have originals, many artists sell prints etc. and some artists  do extremely well. It is the only one of the 3 shows in Laguna that you can apply to if you don't reside in Laguna (Saw Dust) or nearby (the Festival).
