Duluth, Minnesota

Park Point Recreation Area
Saturday & Sunday 10am-5pm
100 Artists
Deadline: March 15, 2024

.Application fee: $35/Booth fee: $300

Summertime on Park Point conjures a sense of rolling waves and seagulls soaring over rare beach grass and one hundred year old pines. And for one weekend each year, it brings artists and art lovers together in a festive setting that welcomes one and all. The region’s longest standing outdoor visual arts showcase returns to Minnesota’s favorite sandbar annually for 52 years. Park Point is an affluent community in the heart of the city of Duluth. "The Point" as it is affectionately called, is a unique environment and a destination in a destination town.

12382371669?profile=RESIZE_710xThe Park Point Art Fair was awarded 10,000 dollars from the city of Duluth to forward its mission. Much of that money will be spent on marketing efforts making this an important year to participate and set the stage for more future support.

"I love the community spirit! I appreciate how many Park Point residents volunteer to help. And there is a special connection between the artists that is stronger than other shows. Most of all the community shows up to support the artists, even with rain in the forecast. I noticed that many visitors came with empty tote bags and were planning to shop for art."

12382371678?profile=RESIZE_180x180The weekend event, which draws an estimated 10,000 visitors, offers the chance to meet 100+ juried artists showing and selling fine art and craft, while enjoying live music, good eats, art making magic and more—all in a stunning setting on the shores of Lake Superior.

Deadline: February 16, 2024

No application fee/Booth fee $250-$350

The Kenan Center is an indoor sports arena with space for up to 100 vendors. Located in the center of Lockport, NY, visitors come from Niagara County, Buffalo, and Southern Ontario (and beyond). This is a diverse area with a high population of affluence due to the location of the Erie Canal. Kenan's campus is 25-acres with a theatre, art gallery, gardens and green space.
12373020277?profile=RESIZE_710x
100 American Craftsmen is one of the region's oldest and most revered fine arts festivals. New Executive Director Bill Patti is committed to a revitalization of this historic event with an influx of Kenan resources and campus-wide planning.

• We visited, engaged, and recruited at over a dozen artisan festivals this season.

• We have expanded our marketing budget significantly. Marketing improvements will include an added push to the Buffalo metro area, Southern Ontario, artisan pushes (we will provide regular marketing materials for artisans to share with their mailing lists), and direct mailers through various publications.

• All vendors will be juried craftsmen. We may have a community partner section, but those partners will not sell goods.

• Increased availability of quality food choices.

• New and improved digital footprint – including an upgraded website

• Purchase/Incoming build of AmericanCraftsmenFestival.com will redirect to the informational page.

• Standard booth fees will remain the same; however, upgraded packages will be available for prime locations, increased marketing opportunities, and other options.

• Kenan will include high-art events across campus throughout the weekend, including a gallery exhibit, a jazz concert, and (hopefully) something in our Taylor Theatre.

• Artisans may choose to have their booth outside. Some artists expressed hesitancy in being indoors on the first weekend of Western New York Summer. We think a hybrid event will help to expand interest in the community.
12373020883?profile=RESIZE_710x

Since its inception in 1970, 100 American Craftsmen has focused exclusively on fine craft art, supporting both established artisans and nurturing new artisans
who combine innovative approaches with traditional crafting techniques.

Testimonials

12365432083?profile=RESIZE_400x"Lots of customers and they came to buy! Very well organized and great communication by Webster Arts organization. Volunteers were terrific! Easy load in and load out."

"I can not believe how many people were there to help us out from setting up tents, bringing water and snacks, and checking on us to see if we needed a booth sitter. And then the basic set up of the fair was so nice - the isles were wide, signs made it easy to see how it was laid out, having food trucks with plenty of tables under a canopy, and various musicians to entertain the crowd (the music wasn't too loud either!). I can't believe how many people said this was their favorite fair - especially this year. They said that the variety and quality of artwork available this year was amazing.

Everyone was so nice - I am glad I was part of it."

Colorado art show recommendations

Hello everyone,

My name is Philomena and I am a fused glass artist in Colorado.

I'm just getting started with art shows and looking for recommendations on which shows have need best for others in our state and surrounding states.

My work is on the higher price range and some shows I've visited in other states seamed to be geared more towards crafts and lower priced pieces rather than higher end fine art.

i would really appreciate any feedback.

thanks for the help

Philomena
