  • Thanks Larry. I never thought to look there.

  • It's at the bottom of this page but I think it needs it's own page:

  • Is there a list of art festivals with open juries? Larry, I looked on your site but couldn't find one. I'd love to go to one but I don't think there are any in my neck of the woods. I live in the NW.

  • I did the show a few times and was down by the low numbers on Park Ave when I had my best show there.

  • THANKS LARRY.. i see that, on Park Avenue.. they do give preference to blah blah blah.. which as a first time exhibitor, im not part of..  the street is side by side i see, where as the park has space between booths.. there is a north side and south side.. of the park.. if I have to go off the street, any variances?

  • My preference is on the street anywhere in front of the park. If I recall, they eliminated some low traffic spaces in the park and extended the show in the street past where the park ends. The last time I was there was about six years ago, the year before they eliminated the spaces.

  • I got into Winter Park, have not done this show in the past..,  photography. any suggestions on booth preferences? They ask you for 3. usual preferences, no long haul dollying if possible, storage behind, away from any possible floods if it rains.. i like to face north or NE, so I don't get direct sunlight...  and the obvious...  they give you a map, but having not been there, i have no clue. thx
  • Any idea how many applications they had? Did the jury only take one day?

Whenever I've run juries I try to do the large categories in the morning when everyone is awake and then the smaller ones in the afternoon to keep everyone awake because there is more variety and always take a break before the jewelry is viewed.

Coconut Grove held their jury last weekend also. They several posts on their Facebook page which is pretty interesting. It gives you a little flavor of what was happening there. Worth a look: http://www.facebook.com/Coconutgroveartsfestival

  • I left right after my category was juried. I know photography was big because they saved the big ones for after lunch. If I find out how many applicants there were I'll let you know-
  • Out of curiosity, did you happen to see the photography category judged? I would be interested in knowing around how many applicants there were for that. It seems that photography is right behind jewelry in the number of applicants.

This was my first year applying to the Winter Park Spring festival. I really hope to get in but am not overly optimistic.

I just did the Winter Park Autumn Festival...which was a total disaster with the weather the way it was.
