thank-you Laura. i did get accepted but should have done more research before i applied; seems i just wasted another $30. l live a little too far to travel back & forth. lodging, and the hassle of the Phila tax i read about, plus the price being so high ( i would think with having corporate sponsors it would be more reasonable for the artists) This year maybe i will go visit. thanks again. and Jacki thanks for asking for more input !
Jill, this is why we keep asking people to review a few shows at www.ArtShowReviews.com. It is one of our sites. We know how valuable the site is to artists when they want a little information about a show from artists that have experienced the show first hand. I just checked and we haven't had a review since 2014. You were right about that. Laura if you wouldn't mind leaving a review we would love it. That would give us a current review. Plus, anyone else, this is why we keep asking for them because artists keep asking for them.
2015 was a better year for my partner & me (we do moderately priced stone jewelry, along with Sterling & gold filled earrings) & the show seems to have solved the problems of the previous years. The show is essentially a street fair, although a "juried " one, & too expensive. Parking is a nightmare, always has been. We did all our business on Sat , & Sun just a fraction of what Sat was. A younger tattooed & pierced crowd on Sunday.
People do turn out for this show tho, among them some affluent buyers. A potter Near me seemed to have done well, tho I can't speak to what the painters or photographers did.
If u live fairly close & can keep lodging costs to a minimum, give it a try. I'd be happier if the show was $100 less-it is not a $450 show.
Great restaurants on the the Main Street are a plus, some who will deliver to ur booth.
Have u been accepted to show?
Good luck!
