  According to my 2006 AFSB, there were approximately 1300 applicants for the 130 available spaces. Therefore, about a 10% chance of being accepted. I have no recent figures on # of applicants.

  Approximately 40 artists are invited back each year. These include award winners from the previous two years, artist advisors, award designers and poster artists. With approximately 170 exhibitors, the invitation list is about 24%. This is a policy that LFOA has had for a long time. The artists are not grandfathered, but reinvited, according to their policy.

  Does anyone have the full sourcebook so you can see how many apps this show gets, how many artists are reinvited or grandfathered vs. how many spots there are actually available?  It just seems like I know some artists who have OK work that are in it every year...so obviously they aren't doing a full jury if decent, but not spectacular artist get in every year but it's rare to hear of a new person being accepted. Anyone have a clue?

   Another donation show, like cherry creek,sausalito,plaza.  I think i'll take a break from supporting this lottery next year. Treat myself to a nice dinner with a friend.

  From our experience Lakefront was always the hardest one to get into...probably more rejections than any other show in the country! Life goes on...

  Same here..... No worries though this seems to be happening more and more with shows.
