ALL YEAR I promised myself that I'd take an updated booth photo and I never managed to do it. So I painstakingly set up my tent in my driveway before my last INDOOR show, hung everything perfectly, and took dozens of photos. Then had to take the tent down, pack everything back up, only to immediately set it all up again. Finally just got a chance to review the photos and they are AWFUL. Grainy and crappy and I really should learn some basic photography or hire someone. That's enough venting. Sigh.
I haven't had time to write in my portrait blog in some time. Even though it can sort of be considered marketing, it's really just something that gives me joy, so it doesn't happen when there are too many other demands on my time. I need to be drawing my hands off this time of year, not to mention I've needed to grocery shop for a full week. But... some stories demand to be told. I hope you enjoy this one if you have the time to read it!

Sounds like you have a plan Wendy.
It looks like he can work wonders! I'm going to see what I can do with it and then share it so Larry can possibly rescue it.
Wendy, we talked to Larry Berman about our booth picture, and even though my husband's camera was broken and incapable of taking a picture in focus, he was able to fix it for us!

Jacki, Wendy's work will blow you away if you ever see it in person. A pencil in her hand turns into a magic wand. She captures emotions beautifully.
I need to do some photoshop work on the booth shot to try and get it where I'm not completely embarrassed by it. I'd like to be able to do some Michigan shows, but all my stock images are Chicago based. I need to build more of a generic library to appeal to other areas before I branch out farther. Hopefully once the kids are in college and there are less local demands.
I watch such junk while I draw!!! It makes me feel better about myself, but probably not in the right way!
Wendy, we would love to see your booth shot. I would love to see your work in person sometime, too. Don't know if you ever do any shows near Michigan or not.
After reading this blog, Wendy, I was reinforced on why I don't record on a DVR. If I've missed the program too bad, there will be another one.
