Here is a nice story about the show from the Orlando Examiner:

Impressive list of award recipients.  One pops out in particular, Charles Gatewood (Paintings - Phenix City, AL).  Charles has been an award-wining artist for over three decades and (obviously) continues with his excellence.  Earliest memory of Charles' tempura work was at Powers Crossroad's Country Fair and Art Festival  (a.k.a. Powers' Festival, now in indefinite hiatus).

Charlie Gatewood is definitely one of the stars of this business. Wish I'd had the good sense to buy one of his paintings years ago when we first met.

We actually did had the good fortune to buy two of his paintings, and they are dearly treasured.

Love seeing John Costin and Scott Amrhein succeeding at this show! They were both awarded at the 2012 Naples National in February, as well. Congratulations to all award recipients!

Thank you for the great story and kind words Connie!  You too Kathleen...John was absolutely thrilled.   He was in great company with award winners and felt very honored.   It was a show we will never forget.
