  • Connie, I meant to make the point that I believe the older crowd is our market.

I like the poster a lot. Very good composition and conveyance of ideas.

  • I really like this photo.  I like the old guys.  They help to make the photo.

  • Maybe we are different out west but my first impression was these were two homeless guys looking to pick up some set up work. It emphasizes the "starving artist" syndrome IMO. Some of us do dress well for shows and our clients.

  • (It all looked fine to me, Larry S. Maybe because I am the host here there is this 1675304773?profile=RESIZE_710xbelow every comment. You don't have that?)

If you listened to the podcast I did with Dave Emmons about Facebook, he targets 45+ as his buyers.  I know when I started my websites I had lots of artist images, my friends, who weren't all that young. My son said, not good marketing, Mom. You need to show young and beautiful people enjoying themselves. This is a funky show in a funky town with a very diverse audience.

  • Hey Connie, this darn site wont let me edit my comments, again  :-(  UGH! I don't like typos :-( I'm not a typist.

  • I like it a lot. Very different. Attracts attention. Invokes thought. Shows people who might be interpreted as "typical artists", both looking at the sign, bringing our gaze to the same. Their bodies, dressed in the dark and light clothes, yet not as white as the sign. Without colors in the clothes creates framing for the sign... again bringing our attention to the sign, causing us to read it. The one leg, brought across the bottom and the banner at the top, further frame the sign. They are sitting and in very casual garb, hence invoking the idea of relaxing. I think it is a VERY GOOD poster.  as to the age? should it be marketed toward the 20 somethings? Are they are best target market? Are the 20 somethings the primary customer we sell to at shows? I like the spirit of the image. Just seeing the poster makes me want to apply :-) Maybe I think I'm looking in a mirror.

  • Well perhaps. One of these people is one of the artist who does the show Carl Lundgren, not sure who the other one is. It’s just a funky cool image. I guess that’s what I like about it.

  • Instead of two old geezers (looks like they are my age), shouldn't there be younger people attending art shows?
