8869185500?profile=originalHave you been to any art fairs lately and asked yourself, "what am I doing here?" Have you spent four days including travel time and you've barely broken even? You know I'm talking about art fair alternatives and learning to use online tools to show, share, sell your fine art and craft.

What if instead of going to that marginal event you put as much time and energy into creating an online fanbase? How about Facebook with all its free tools? Heck, you're going to be home anyway, instead of searching for an iffy show to keep the cash coming in, you sit down at your computer. You've already got your lodging and probably plenty of food nearby.

Our recent podcast addressed step-by-step how to build your business online with free Facebook tools plus how to use Facebook to bring people to your next art fair. This was probably the most informative podcast we've done. Our guest Dave Emmons is a good teacher.

  • You’ll find it in the second podcast I did with Dave.

  • Hello,

I just re-listened to this podcast and it says that there will be a video in the show notes.  I cannot seem to find this video to follow along.  Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks

  • Fwiw, just now I listened to this podcast and followed along to create an ad for one of my advertisers, Canopy Weights. Now, we'll how this works for me and the Canopy Weights people. I started the podcast and would stop it each time I needed to follow some of the directions.

I hate to sound so enthusiastic, but this was an amazingly helpful podcast. Tell your friends and share the info: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/artfairs/2019/03/07/a-strategy-session...

I especially liked how he used FB to bring people to his booth at art fairs.

  • I thought this was an excellent podcast with information one could immediately apply. Thanks for doing it. :)

  • Thanks, Judy. I keep hoping to implement some of those tips myself ... never enough time.

  • I listened to about 10 minutes last week. I thought it was going along well and plan to listen to all of it when I am back in my studio. I am having some really "off" time right now, as in everything is really off! Moving, plus a family member in hospital a few hours away.

I thought it was interesting as in getting to understand the workings of facebook. Thanks for podcasting it!

  • No, Terri. Just click on that icon right there on the site, where it says "click here to listen." That will take you to the podcast.

  • Sure Terri ... any time these podcasts are available. This is where you can find them:

    1. On the home page of this site, upper left hand corner, click on the black box that says podcast on it.
    2. Click on the podcast tab at the top of this website where it says "podcasts". That will take you to the whole list. Click on the one you want to listen to.
    3. Go to ArtFairRadio.com and all the episodes will pop up. You can also download the episode to your device to listen to again. I know artists who download them and listen while driving to shows or while working in the studio.
    4. Go to the iTunes Library and search for "Art Fair Artists Success Show."
    5. And anytime you see this logo on our site, click on it and it will also take you there: 1371986272?profile=RESIZE_710x
  • For those of us who could not listen during the allotted time, is there a recorded version available?
