I thought I would post a series of pictures from this show for those of you considering Colorado for 2013. Unfortunately I can't post the pictures from my IPad. They will be on my Facebook page starting with the trip up here yesterday afternoon. My page is Richard L. Sherer. This is starting to grate on me. I get a message from Art Show Reviews.com to write reviews of the shows that have been blogged. I do that, then11 days pass and they are still not posted. This seems to be the orphan child of the larger operation. They tell me it has to be rewritten in code. Ok, but how long does that take if someone is minding the store? I wonder how many other reviews are sitting out there in the black hole. My rant for the week.Back to work setting up.Dick Shererwww.sheresaddlesinc.cm
Richard, I too had a few reviews that had not been posted.....but I wrote Connie. She said she has been out of town visiting family and the person who does the work for her to get them up has been really ill and they are backed up. Be patient they will get on the site. :)
Day two at Estes Park, CO: another day of great sales. Haven't crunched the numbers yet. The Rotary had a nice pizza reception for the artists. More artist photos on Facebook. In the hot tub with a cold Pacifico catching up on emails. Wave after wave of people buying everything: belts, gun leathers, horse tack, dog tack, checkbooks, etc, and special order knife cases, folios, repairs...... A real feeding frenzie at times. Photos of show on my Facebook page.
One day down, two more to go. Crowd photos on my Facebook page: Richard L. Sherer. Sales up over first day last year. Lots of folks from Denver (1 hour away), the Midwest and Europe. Saw one tour bus unloading folks. Too busy rest of day to see what was going on in the street. Also check out the Facebook page for Estes Park Arts and Craft Show for more pictures.
Pacifico: Mexican beer brewed in Mazatlan, Sinaloa. Many breweries in Mexico were started by German immigrants in the 19 th century. Tecate and Sol are also good Mexican beers among others.
Richard, I am on the reviews you have written. I will find out what the hold up is. But please don't be discouraged. In July alone we had 29 reviews written. They all need to be put into the system. That is a lot of reviews and we are not complaining. We just need you to hang in there. They will be posted. We do really appreciate the reviews you have been doing. We want those western shows, too!
Last month there was a flap on AFI about Cherry Creek promoting their sponsors on Facebook and not the artists. For comparison check out the Facebook posts by the Rotary for "Estes Park Arts and Craft Show". The only one I have seen for sponsors was an aerial shot of the show with boxes for the sponsors superimposed on the shot. Of course, Rotary is closely involved with the community and knows what generates tax revenue.
Jacquelyn, if the correction does not work let me know. Works fine and I have Verizon on my iPad. Finished set up at 3:30. By 4 I was in the hot tub wit a cold Pacifico!

Thanks I thought I had caught my errors. Getting tired setting up. Ours takes 6 hours. Three to get tent up and walls pegboarded, three hours to hang a lot of merchandise. Already made one nice sale to the police chief. A repeat client who gets out of town on the weekends.
