Crazy clients!

Have you had some larger than life clients?  I've had some wonderful ones, some difficult ones and some REALLY interesting ones.  I wrote about one of my most memorable clients in my blog today.

I think most of us artists are open minded, but if you are squeamish about language, this one is a little bluer than usual, due to my need to quote my client accurately.  Have a wonderful weekend!

  • Incredible!!!!  Yes, the most interesting people come to art shows.  I hope I run across your path at a show, seeing your work in person would be a pleasure. Thanks for the great story, and inspiration.

  • From bikers to church ladies, they are all so interesting.  I have one woman who walks around to each of her artist "friends" talking about her cats.  She stays in my booth for around 45 minutes each time.  She'll never buy anything and she doesn't care if other clients are trying to ask me questions.  I have no choice now but to pretend I'm on the cell phone or that I have to go to the bathroom when I see her coming.  Other former clients or regular art fair patrons stop for a visit and I feel like they are family!

  • Wonderful story, Wendy. We do meet the most amazing people at the shows ... I hope you meet many more Dianes in the years ahead.

  • A well described and written blog Wendy. People like her are a breath of fresh air compared to the everyday 9-5 boring people in this world that have personalities we easily forget.

  • Wendy, your biker art -- Harleyer art? -- is stunning!  You made Diane look like herself and better, and yeah I can see some Burt Reynolds in her dude, too.  But what really blew me away were all the bi-, um, Harleys.  Wow.  Your work is really incredible.

And I just loved your story.  What a hoot.  I LMAO, so I know what you mean about peeing just a little.  :)  Rock on.

  • Great blog, Wendy!  Totally enjoyed the story....
