Call for Artists, Making Money at Juried Art Fairs, Craft Shows and Festivals

Rules for making your life better that I keep on my desk:

  1. Want more for others than you want for yourself
  2. Think from the end -- see yourself already with what you want
  3. Be an appreciator
  4. Stay in rapport with source energy
  5. Understand resistance
  6. Contemplate yourself surrounded by the conditions you want
  7. Understand the art of allowing
  8. Practice radical humility
  9. Live in a constant state of gratitude
  10. Do not resolve a problem by condemning it
  11. Meditate

Not sure where I got this, my apologies to the originator for not giving them credit.

Do you have any rules you think should be added to this list?

when you give of your heart freely, you get back in many ways

Holly, after 10 years of fighting with St. Augustine grass I am done with grass / lawns.  We're far enough back from the road and have enough trees so no one will see our grass anyway.

It may not be very esoteric but since I do setup and breakdown alone most of the time this has always helped me.  Referring to set up and breakdown - It always gets up and it always comes down.  And of course my favorite, proven out very well in Boca, it's not a bad show until 5:00 on Sunday.

Good question, Holly -- sorry, it isn't. It is something that sits on my desk that I've been saving for some time when I didn't have time to write anything original.

I should have known you'd spent some time as a counselor from the tone of your posts here, Robert, plus your ability to look around, judge and make changes...

One item I've found helpful over the years from my past crisis center work is to "get comfortable with being uncomfortable," for those situations when you can't change things for a bit. Rather than be in a high anxiety state trying to get comfortable again, flow with it until there is time to regain "comfort."
