Square chip reader and working with parkinson's

I have a motor tremor in my hands and find it hard to insert the chip card into the reader.  i was thinking of inserting the card into the reader and then inserting it into my ipad  is this feasible.  and then i was thinking of getting the 49.00 reader  since there is a slot for the whole card and that might solve my problem of inserting the card  does anyone have the 49 reader and how do they like it

The weighted optional base for the chip read slides in and there is a cap that holds it in. Go to the main website for POS. I have all inventory, send electronic receipts, it gives you hourly, daily, weekly, compared to year before sales charts. Tax options so I can just print out how much I owe, etc. tells me my top sellers, everything. I was doing that all manually before. Just gave me back countless paperwork hours.

what little slide in piece are you talking about and what is square's pos system

Ps, that little slide in piece on the base can be tricky for people with hand problems, I just leave it off as do my friends.

I love the chip reader with base. It stays in place on my checkout counter. It takes about 4 hours to fully charge and it has gone 10 hours with no problems. I re entry switched to Square's POS system and also the loyalty points. I have had excellent response from my face-to-face customers. I am waiting for their e-newsletter to be tweaked a little more and hope to move it all over to Square shortly. No more this provider for this, that provider for that.

I don't know what would be considered a lot of transactions- I looked, and my last show my square transactions were 35 transactions over 2 days and one evening, the show before that was 61 transactions over 3 days.

I have never noticed my ipad lower than about 70% and my $49 reader always seems to be full.

We do turn off the ipad in between some of the sales.

Last summer I was at a 4 day show where it was on from 10-8 each day. Never saw any depletion.  I'm not sure why nothing seems to run down for me. Of course I'm recharging everything each night.

I think my husband feels that by turning off the ipad we are saving the square battery, but that is just a guess.

Does anyone know if the bluetooth reader battery life is used up more with more transactions or is it just how long it is in use regardless of the # of transactions?

We also have the $49 reader and it has been very reliable and easy to use.  The battery life is extremely long and we haven't had to recharge even after 2 shows.  Worth the money.

The $49 card reader should be much better for you.  I usually give the reader to the customer to insert the card and remove the card. Warning, it does have a battery and must be charged.  Just in case I forget to charge, which is often with me,  I also carry a small portable charger.    I
