  • Thanks for that info. I'm pretty surprised at that big an increase in size. More investigation coming up ... ;)

  • Hi Connie, I checked the stats and was amazed to see that in 2013 Winter Park featured 150 artists, but in 2014 featured 275 Artists. That is quite a jump.....adding 125 artists. I feel that it does impact an Artist's projected earnings by adding so many more. That being said, it is possible that I would not have made the cut at 150, still, I think 275 is too many for that area.

  • I doubt they added exhibitors. This is a solid show, an all volunteer committee, that is very unlikely to do such a thing. You've got great work, Gloria. Glad to hear it was good for you.

There is only so much an event can do to get people to buy work. The WPSAF does an excellent job with PR and it is distressing to hear when people do not do well. You want everyone to do well. When I was running shows it was so hard not to see everyone selling.

  • Winter Park was great! I was told that the show had added quite a few Artists, and many of the Artists I spoke to said sales were down considerably. As I was a first time exhibitor, I had no frame of reference....looking forward to next year.

  • I'll just say I'm looking forward to next year. WOOHOO!

  • Did I make all those errors with your names? or was that the way they were on the list the WP folks sent me? Whichever -- many apologies.

Bet you are happy to be in Pensacola and enjoying a few days off. Got anything to add about WP?

  • I mean we set up the show Friday morning, not Saturday.

  • Here I is! Thanks for the recognition. WOOHOO!

Barrie (ie instead of y) Lynn Bryant and my wife, A.B. Word (not Wood).

I went out and met Jim Parker and his wife as well. Great folks!

We're at Pensacola now to do Gulf Breeze Celebrates the Arts. So we have three days of much needed R&R. We're exhausted after traveling from Wyoming to Winter Park (2,174 miles) and then setting up the show at 5:30 a.m. Saturday morning since we were on Park Avenue.

  • Yes! and I see some of our members on this list. Congrats to Barry Lynn Bryant, a frequent contributor and lots of other folks.

Here is another story about the top winner: http://www.orlandosentinel.com/entertainment/events/orlando-festiva...

  • Congratulations to all the winners, pretty sweet!
