  • I also do business with an organization that handles everything from my printing to framing . . . they even take care of shipping for me. Personally, I wouldn't consider doing business with anyone else. They are The Photo Touch, located in Loveland, Colorado. You can check out there website. Click here:  http://www.thephototouch.com/

  • Hey Connie,  I met up with one of their teams at the Wisconsin State Fair last year where my own sales were ok-ish but not too brilliant.  It was pretty easy/seamless joining their artist program and my sales through them were fine, especially as they took care of everything and just informed me what sold, where sold and how much they were sending me.  I had no idea what print on demand was before.  Now I get it. I like when the Paypal sends me my money. Some of my sales were as far away as Hawaii and a couple were in my own backyard.  I guess people who were thinking of buying directly from me kinda liked the fact that they could 'mess' with my online image through them and make it into a size they wented.  I didn't have the time in the past to offer the differences in materials etc, so for me it has been great.  Their Uprint thing is just a more empowering tool that gives me a chance to run a fulfillment business from shows and home with thousands (I think they say millions - but some of them are not great??) of pictures as though it were my own. Happy so far - see what happens at Platinum

  • Connie, I get called out on having retail sponsors at some of my shows.  They pay at least four times what artists do and make some shows possible that otherwise would not exist.  I understand the need for ad revenue and support.   I believe in artists.  I believe artists should make a good living.  I believe that the combination of fewer art classes and more manufactured "art" will not be good for most most of us.  I supposed Uprintondemand is like any other tool- very helpful if used properly and dangerous if misused.

  • I was a featured Artist on their other website for about 6 months.  It was okay and I sold about 3 canvasses a month with the exception of Christmas/mid December when I sold 4 metal prints in one day.  I signed up for their Uprintondemand Silver Member program in January and now sell around 4 sometimes 5 a week and was at first a little disappointed to be selling items from their big art collection as opposed to exclusively my own work but the extra income from sales did go a long way.  I'm talking to them about becoming a Platinum Member which is a big step for me, but I do like the idea of my own branded website with all the features as opposed to using their white label site.  The guy I was talking to informs me that in about two weeks my site will be ready.  Fingers crossed.
