Morning news and Denver Post has article about a bear than wandered into Lonigans bar around 9:00 pm last night. Partying was going on and no one noticed. A passer by seeking a photo called bear outside before he got into the crowed area of bar. A couple years ago it was the bear going in the candy story a block away from the show site. He had favorite candy bars that he took outside to eat. Be on your toes if you do shows in the Colorado Mountains.
There's a show in a small town in Queensland that is known for the roos everywhere - on the beach, hopping down the street, sleeping and eating on the lawns and for the most part they ignore people and go where they want. They can be a bit of a hazard, but not dangerous like bears. (Although I wouldn't shoo away a buck - at 5-6 ft tall and with wicked claws!)
We were warned at Boston Mills to remove all food items from the tents at night. They're on the edge of a national or state forest with lots of wildlife. The biggest danger is raccoons getting in the tents, and those little beggars (compared to bears) can become terribly destructive. Now I don't know what they were drinking at Lonigan;s bar but I'll take a couple ;-)
