I know, I know....nine more days!

But YOU know ME!!!! LOL

In bold and upper case, I just have to wish every single Art Fair Insider a

We are totally breaking tradition this year: no tree, trimmings or least at home!

My newlyweds will be at the Green Bay Packer Game on Christmas Day. For those who do not follow American football, the Packers are set to have a "perfect" season and picked to win the Super Bowl again. We in WI take the Pack like religion on Sundays ( or any other day they play!) So Mom's (my) traditions will wait a week as they make their holy trek up to Lambeau Field.

My eldest and darling daughter haven't decided yet but

Dan and I are heading to Minneapolis to spend Christmas with our youngest son, the surgical transplant RN. Since he just moved to the Uof M Hospital there from Kearney, NE, he is low man on the rotation. He will be working some third shifts.

Larry, we are doing a brave thing! After eight years of being a house dog, Willow is coming along. We procured Valium for the trip for him (I think a round may be needed for us as well! Just kidding.)

I hope everyone uses this blog to tell us what YOU are doing over the next two weeks.

I'd love to hear!

Happy Holidays to you and yours also.

Safe traveling with your doggie. We started using car seats for our puppies called Snoozer from Petco:

Here's a picture of our puppies in the seats

Merry Christmas to you and yours Linda.  My shopping is not done yet.  I have 4 boys (I should call them men) and one daughter in law.  After having to shop for boys all these years I have no idea what to buy for a female.  My boys are all coming home, the first one arrives tomorrow.  I still have beds to make, cleaning to do, and shopping.  I can guarantee that I know what they will be doing during that Packer game.  They will be parked in front of that TV watching the game.

I hope you enjoy your trip to Minneapolis.  Safe travels to you all.

Larry I never saw such car seats for dogs.  It sure looks like they ride in high style.

I hope you, Linda, and everyone else has a wonderful holiday. I have done very little shopping so far. I am hoping to give all family members my first pieces of pottery from the pottery class I have been taking since October. The days I should have been shopping, I spent in the pottery studio. Since I’m a jeweler, I tend to be too detail oriented. While classmates have whipped out pieces, I have not even completed 10.  I have yet to see the pieces I glazed last week, though: this could be the basis of a new standing family joke: on a par with Ron Weasley from Harry Potter receiving a horrendous handknit sweater from his mother every Christmas.

Tonight my husband picks up our daughter from college. Yesterday was her 21st birthday, so today I will be getting ready for that celebration. She requested the house decorated for Christmas too, so I had better get on the stick!

Wishing everyone peace and joy in this season.

Happy Holidays, Linda!  Thanks for thinking of us AFI'ers at this busy time of year.  I have completed some things (husband's office party at our house, last minute commissions, decorating, seeing my middle school mentees for the last time of the year), and am now on to trying to get the last gifts made.  My daughter is in Australia with her husband (Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, Oy, OY, OY).  Our son and granddog only live 1 1/2 hours from here in Bloomington, IN where he works and goes to college on the GI bill ("I want to do it MY way, Mom!")  He'll be back and forth a time or two before the big day!  We here in Indiana are on Cloud Nine about the IU Hoosier basketball team's season including that fabulous last second win against their big rival, Kentucky.  About the Colts, well we're hoping for next year and waiting to see.  It was fun to see a win this season!  Such a change from years past.  We'll be watching sports for sure over the holiday season.  It gets noisy during those basketball games!

My husband and I will be leaving the day after Christmas for 10 days on Sanibel Island.

Merriest of Merries everyone!

Your stories are just swelling my Christmas Spirit!

Leave it you you all at AFI to ring in the CHEER!

I am going to my sisters for spaghetti on Christmas. She only cooks for Christmas. I am going make key lime creme brûlée. My daughters will be on the east coast and my son may or may not be deployed before Christmas. So this year no tree, no stockings, no money. This will be a strange Christmas...the first one with no kids home. It is my girls turn to be at their in-laws.
