Halloween shows in Michigan

Just for curiosities sake, how many Michigan artists would be interested in starting an annual Halloween art fair in Michigan?  Ghoul Tide is the only one I know of and they haven't been exactly friendly nor has the EHAG organization on line. So if I could find an organization to help us start one in a good location, would anyone be interested in helping me organize and run one?  I have to tell you I have no experience running a show but I have put on and judged competitions for shows.  Not quite the same but nothing ventured nothing gained.  So hypothetically speaking, would anyone be interested?

  • Ghould tide used to have their show in Northville in the Millpond park.  They were set up in all the Victorian houses and it was just such a perfect location.  They are huge on Halloween there and have a really nice Art association.  I'll contact them and see what we can get going.  I know artists came from all over the country.  Many of them belonged to EHAG.  I'll get back to you all on this.

  • I would be interested in helping and participating as well. I'm in Dearborn. I've never organized an art fair but have organized other events.

  • I would be interested in participating but I live in Perrysburg OH. I make glass beads and I  like to make some Halloween Beads. Also bracelets and necklaces in fall colors reminiscent of the season. It would be a challenge to artists to adapt their medium to Halloween themes. It's always good to think differently and try something new. Halloween is becoming very popular with many today and they like to decorate with handmade items. I think your idea sounds very interesting.

  • I would be willing to help.  I am also in Ypsilanti.

  • That works.  Let's see if we get any more replies on this.

  • Cool idea. I'm in Ypsilanti...

  • Well, I'm located in south east Michigan around metro Detroit so someplace in that area.  I'd say anywhere within 30 -40 minutes from Royal Oak.

  • Where at in Michigan?

  • Oh, and it wouldn't even be a consideration for this year.  Too late.
