  I did it last year. Turn back, it's a trap! They need artists there as a justification to sell beer on the street. I was warned in advance about how Chicago Special Events ran their shows, and ignoring that warning cost me a $700-$800 loss doing that show. It's about being a street party, not being an art festival. Stay away like they have the plague.

  Oscar is totally right about Special Events.  The list of people that will not do this show would make an impressive art festival.  All SE cares about is how much beer can they sell.

  This show is run by Chicago Special Events same people of Wells Street and Fountain Square. At first sounds like a good show but do yourself a favor DO  NOT APPLY OR DO THIS SHOW YOU WILL BE CRYING MONTH AFTER THE SHOW.

  Thanks Geri.  I thought you might have an idea.  I also looked all over and couldn't find a thing about it.  I figure they aren't having it this year.

  I searched all over and can't find anything.  I'm not the best internet searcher.

  Lots of weird stuff has been going on with Chicago festivals because the mayor changed some of the rules as far as permitting is concerned.
