This was my first oil painting done five years ago (2016). I painted it on a canvas that I had inherited from my mother who had purchased it in London in 1964 and brought it home with her on the Queen Mary.
I had not attempted any kind of art since college, but after being "let go" by IBM in their purge of older workers I decided to do something that I really enjoyed for a change.
Since this work I have painted quite a bit and taken a few classes, one of which was very helpful: "Layering and glazing with Todd Bonita - http://www.toddbonita.com/ -. I don't have a "passion", but I enjoy painting, and carpentry and building furniture for my kids and most crafty things, and get lost in the work on rare wonderful occasions.
