I made three panels, 35" wide, using 2-by wood trimmed to 1" on one side to match the 1" foam, attaching the cross pieces together with long deck screws. I chose the heavier carpet for a cover when I was advised that the adhesive would bleed through the lighter carpet, although it makes the corners impossible to crease neatly. The panels had to be no longer than the bed of the truck which is 76" long. So I left the top flush and extended the legs 4". My challenge now is to glue the carpet on, covering the edges with a nice crease and figuring out extensions on the top to secure them together and set up lights, like the ProPanel arrangement. I decided on drilling holes for 1/2" conduit which I could cut to various lengths and insert into the holes without fancy connections. I am still left with the adjustable rod issue to brace them. This is covered in your book which is lost in my computer. Please send me the file name so I can retrieve it. Is the adhesive sold at Home Depot the best way to glue down carpet?
