Web designer Franklin Piuck and ArtFairInsiders.com will be hosting a ZOOM webinar on Tues., May 5 at 2 pm ET. The topic of discussion will be critiquing websites and answering artists questions about web design, SEO and all the attendant options.
If you haven't participated in a ZOOM meeting yet, it is a visual meeting, like Facetime or Skype, where you click into the site and appear on screen. We can see one another and chat about the topic. You must contact Frank ahead of time with your interest in participating so he can add you to the invitation list.
1. Contact Frank: fpiuck@cyberhenge.com
2. If you are interested in adding your site to the critique also alert him to that and send him the link.
There is a limit to the number of participants. We have room for 25 more at this time.

Sorry, there is not a recording of the Zoom, Sandra. Someone (probably me) forgot to click that button (:
Is there a recording of the Zoom even somewhere ?
Another great meeting with Frank and Connie! Thank you-this is a process-just like art.
Thank you Connie and Frank for what I thought was a very informative meeting. I learned a lot about websites, especially SEO. Fascinating. I will review my website and make some changes based on what I learned from the Zoom meeting. Thanks again.

First off - let me thank you. I've follows your 2 previous podcasts. I started my website right after your first podcast. You motivated me to get off the fence.
Today's podcast could be improved if you first called up websites for people who where in attendance. Please keep them coming as I don't want to work in a vacuum!
Stay safe!

I sent my request to be included in the webinar on May 4 since I want to improve my site, merglennstudios.com, and Frank replied quickly with the details I needed to log into it. I tested the link and got myself ready to attend it using my iPad rather than laptop so that I could look at websites as he discussed them. This method worked well for me.
I got logged in at 12:01 Mountain Time and the meeting was already moving right along as Frank was reviewing a website. Pretty soon he was reviewing Bob Lawson's Fine Art Studio Online (FASO.COM) website and that really piqued my interest since I have been using FASO website services since 2012 and have plugged them here on AFI a lot. FASO was designed specifically for independent artists by a former art gallery dealer in Texas. Toward the end of the meeting Connie selected my site for Frank to review and I learned simple corrections I needed to make to improve my site's appearance, how to get more traffic to my site, and about other people's behavior who are surfing my site. And I feel that Frank will be a valuable resource to contact when I am ready to fine tune things on my website.
The info Frank provided is good stuff. What interested me most of all is how Frank himself looked at websites in the first place. You had to pay attention to how he surfed websites to understand about human behavior. He talked about people's habits and how quickly websites get viewed and abandoned pretty quickly. I know about this since I review the analytics about traffic on my own website. Within a few clicks, Frank had me understanding what I needed to do to improve my site based on how he viewed my site and the details he discussed about how Google indexing and search engine optimization.
We are fortunate to have Art Fair Insiders to help us grow and improve ourselves. I am grateful to all who are part of this network here. Thanks a million Connie, Frank and fellow artists!
Frank and Connie, I had the realization that shows may be over for this year and knew I finally needed to get my website up and running. I'd been saying that for years, but didn't know where to start. How serendipitous that I discovered these scheduled Zoom meetings. They really have been a life saver. I've taken notes and soaked up every bit of information I could from them. Some of the points covered I hadn't even considered. I'm doing it on Wix and if I can't figure it out on my own, I know who to call. Thanks again, both of you.
I was one of the artists who had one of the feedback sessions, which I did find helpful. What I want to learn next is more about marketing online, whether through Facebook or Instagram, which seem to be the largest social media platform, but would also like to learn more about email marketing as well. Thanks for all you do here at AFI!
