Woodland Art Fair

Having participated in the Woodland Art Fair twice my experience is mixed. The first year I had a great show in terms of appreciation and sales;the second year my sales were minimal but my work was appreciated nonetheless.

I have not done the show since then but I still think it was worth the experience

  • Here is an excellent story about artists creating work for Hollywood by being discovered at the Woodland Art Fair:  http://www.kentucky.com/2011/08/29/1861080/best-performance-by-a-ca...
  • I had a good show. Load in/out was very easy and pretty laid back. Water and breakfast for artists, a good # of shoppers, all in all I was happy and would return if accepted.
  • The KY show was the first time for me...liked the venue and had an average show...yes, people really appreciated my work and some purchased to make it a good enough show to want to return if juried back in....The art work was quality...nothing shabby and a well run show...easy to do.
  • There were several posts on this show earlier in the month. It's the Lexington KY show, not The Woodlands in Texas (that's a spring show).
  • It would be appreciated if everyone would mention the city and state along with the name of the show.  Thanks
  • Welcome to the blogs Albert.  Remember, this is not Facebook, it is Ok to give a little more info than you did.  In fact, we welcome it.

Most importantly, appreciation of your art is very nice--but it don't pay any of your bills.
