vinyl top replacement for pop up style canopy

Any one know who might be making and selling waterproof vinyl canopy tops for pop up style frame now that John Mee canopy CO is out of business? All I can find are the 600D polyester replacement tops that fit.

  • Thanks for the info. I just called and will be ordering a top this week.

  • Patch Place was the guy who did the actual work for John Mee. I emailed him back and forth a few times but it seems like he wasn't actively pursuing the business. Light Dome and Flourish both have pop-up top replacements.

  • Good quality light wieght vinyl tops are available through Light Dome in Ocala FL or, they are also known as creative energies. I have one and they are very good. $275

  • patchplace.net isn't an active website either.

  • Does anyone have the contact or website info for any of these people who make vinyl tops? I searched Everything Canvas on FB and nothing comes up with replacement tops.

  • Great points, Dan! It all depends ...

    • how many shows you do
    • where they are, in or out
    • how much money you have
    • how much time you have to fix, modify and search for parts
    • what your time is worth
    • better to make awesome work or work on tent parts
    • what do you have more of -- time or money?
  • I have this set up but I got my top through patchplace.net. Their top is bomb proof, which means very thick material and heavy weight, doesn't let much light through but enough for me. I think litedome has a light weight vinyl top with maybe even skylight option, which means water proof and manageable, but not bomb proof! The problem I have with the pop up style tent frame is that I have spent so many hours searching for parts, tops, side walls (on fourth set), stay bars, awnings, etc.... That may or may not work with the frame. I have spent enough money on this stuff to get a trimline by flourish (my preference) from the get go! Depends on how many shows you do and how many high wind shows you encounter to justify getting a hi quality tent. I know a top from litedome is pricey. So,sell the stay bars, save that money for the top and get a litedome or trimline tent. You get all vinyl top, sides, awnings, stay bars and any ad on feature that you want with a phone call! Next time I need something for my tent, I'm selling it (if possible) and getting a trimline.

  • I would get just the top.

  • The people who make the Light Dome, also make vinyl tops and sides for pop ups.

I'm considering going to the vinyl option with the pop up and were wondering what people who've gone this route think.  I already have lower stabilizer bars.

  • Joan -could you please pass along the info for the Everything canvas plastic tops

    Thank you!
