I figure now is a better time to post this than next week after I try it out. That way everyone can play with it at the show this week.
The Ann Arbor shows have a combined app in the itunes store. It's called the Ann Arbor Art Fairs, abbreviated to A2ArtFairs when it installs. It lists the artists from all the shows alphabetically by medium and shows one image of their artwork and links to their booth locations on a map.
Since I was going to spend two or three days walking the shows this week, I decided to try out the app. I've been contacted by a few artists who want a booth picture taken and added them to my favorites in the app.

I'll give you a call on Thursday.
Rebuilding a web site at the time people need to see it is really dumb. It should be rebuilt off line with the old web site still there and then changed over once the update is complete. It should never be not accessible.

Great, thanks for this, Larry! I'll be there too on Thursday and Friday. Hopefully we can get together. I look forward to seeing you there.
I was doing a story on the AA shows and was rather surprised that the State Street Merchants are rebuilding their website and their list of artists is not available, although they say it will be ready today. Not great timing...
Someone pointed out that the app isn't available for the ipad.
If you do a search in the app store from your ipad, the Ann Arbor Art Fairs app isn't available. But if you switch over to iphone apps, you can install it on your ipad. Then when you run it for the first time, hit the 2X button in the bottom right corner and it fills the ipad screen.
