If you are C or subS corporation (don't know about LLCs) every year in Colorado you have to file an annual report with the Secretary of State. This confirms your address and who are the officers of the corporation. It cost $10 to do this on line and it takes about 15 minutes. Scammers are sending out official- looking paper work to the unsuspecting with some scare verbiage about the filing. They will do it for you for a mere $125.00. One of these scammers is: Compliance Services, Grand Junction, CO. 9-News business has reported on this in the past but these scammers pop up every summer.
I'm in Minnesota but, knowing this happens in Colorado is good info considering there could be several twists on this practice! I keep my eye's open and use caution moving forward. Thanks for the info!
Did it Larry. Have had no time to do any booth or image work with inventory rebuild, post show orders and three saddles in the works. Ill have to get it done before it snows.

I agree with Jacki! We humans sometimes forget and the busy ones sometimes have so much going on in the interest of speed we just click. Oops.
The same scam is in Michigan, and I would guess more states. Sigh.

Thanks for alerting us Richard. There are always those that miss the alerts and fall for these scams. This bears repeating again in the future.
