  • My first art fair was Maple and Main in Sylvania, Ohio. It was the first year or the fair and it was my first art fair. But in the third year, that little show has grown up a bit!

  • Smugmug is just the website I use to post my pictures. I took all of the photos. I will be framing some of the photos, mating some and just having plain prints.

I really love your pottery. I think you may know my father in law, Marc Himes.
  • So Brandon, what's the deal with the smugmug stuff on your website? Do you actually shoot the work yourself, print the photos, frame them, etc.? What's the deal?

  • That should be a bonus, Brandon, especially if you can catch the tourists who love the Lake Superior atmosphere. Locals maybe not so much. Have a wide price point. Any chance you can get to another show before that one? That would help a lot because you could see what others photography booths look like and get an idea of how much to bring.

Do you live in Marquette? If so, I guess heading to Ann Arbor to see a big show would be a bit of a drive, but I'll bet you can find a smaller one nearer than that. When is the Petoskey show? That wouldn't be so far.

  • I am doing my first show in just over two weeks. I am very nervous with it being my first show, Art on the Rocks in Marquette, MI a juried show. I have lined up a great tent, but need to know how much product I should have, pricing, what little things (not product wise) I should have to make this successful. I do photography and much of what I have is local to where the show is, which should be a bonus.
