Im sure many of your are too high end for his shows but with my price point average around $55 Im curious if his one day shows are worth while. Most are in NJ which is not far from me, but I have never met an artist or crafter who has done his shows.

One of the shows was in Red Bank, NJ, which is said to be one that is worthwhile, but it wasn't for me. I don't remember where the other one was, but I wrote off his shows completely. I swear the one I did was lucky if 500 people attended. I know when I first got there I was so super impressed with his load in, his advertising all over town, and the oldies band that was there was great. I couldn't wait for it to start, sure that I would make good money! I was waiting all day long for it to "Start" LOL.
Thank You Theresa-
Interesting comments. What two shows did you do and as far as you know, were they his best shows? What would you guess the average attendence was?
Darryl Walker does an excellent job regarding advertising, set up, entertainiment, etc. For some reason, which I still don't understand, significant sales don't happen. I had been forewarned about this, but did two of them anyway. My neighbors and I barely covered expenses. One theory that I heard merits consideration: His shows are in well heeled communities. They shop only at high end stores and don't come out to shows to buy, but to enjoy his really good entertainment.
