20 years

First show ever

Was a craft show at an area hospital during the week. I was totally unprepared with the necessary amount of inventory and just about sold out.

What are the best things about art fairs

Definitely the mingling with other artists and crafters. Meeting new faces and feeling an appreciation of the time and effort you put into your business. Last, but certainly not least, is earning a living doing what I love.

Best show ever and why

Over the years I have plenty of memories of some really great shows. But I would have to say my best show was 9 years ago. It was such a success that it convinced me to leave my 9-5 and really focus on building a full time business doing Art/Cratt shows.

Worst show ever and why

Total disasterous show when an unexpected storm rolled through, tearing up booths and tents and leaving them hanging in the branches of trees. Lots of damage and chaos.

Was taken out by ambulance for a suspected heart attack. (it was just a gallbladder attack). Embarrasingly, I was in the middle of a squabble with the organizer when I keeled over.
