Gracie Square Art Show, NYC October 2&3

The Show got an "A". Easy set up, friendly and great organization

and the wonderful Manhatan east side. Many sales around me and great show for me. Just Fine Art ( thanks God!!) Not to crowed, some times a little slow but the attenders... very nice people, very good educated and ready to spend money in Art. Very nice weather for October week end. What more I can say... is NY city..

  • your welcome Connie.
  • Congratulations, Jorge. You seem to be doing a good job of finding markets for your art. Great news! Thanks for the report.
  • weel Larry, some of the Artist close to 89 , don't think the same.
  • There are no bad spaces and I think that the show only has about 110 spaces. I had a photographer friend with a space near 84th street and he had a really good show also.

  • Thanks Larry. Well the time is changing maybe. It is my first year ( last year I had to cancel for personal reazons in the last minute) But I know many new Artist there, specially Abstract Artists. Small show , very eclectic but with very good quality, specially in photography. I applied early and I choose for a premium space and I nailed. Some times Artist spend money in books and other staff to make better bussiness. ( whatever) .. Lovely Art show.

  • Glad to hear you had a good show. This is one of those sleepers. Fine art only, no crafts. And the same old artists with the same old display and same old vans that I used to see there almost thirty years ago. It's big with NY, NJ and CT painters. The show is on the sidewalk and inside Carl Schurz Park between 84th and 87th street on East End Avenue where the mayor's mansion is located. If you have a space on the sidewalk outside the park you can back into the curb right at your space and not have to move all weekend. It's the only art show in New York City that allows you to park right at your booth.

Haven't done it recently but did it for over fifteen years starting in the 1980s.
