Getting Fed Up With Zapp

I don't know about others having problems with Zapp,but this has been my experience the last couple months with two different shows in CO. It took Zapp a couple days to allow acceptance to a show. Twice now I have paid for booth fees for two different shows with credit card and it doesn't show up on Purchases. This means I have to call credit card company to verify that payment was not made to avoid a duplicate payment if I pay again. I also contact the show to confirm they did not get paid. For what they are charging promoters (and what artists eventually pay for) you would think they could get their system to work.

  • Thanks for info Suzanne. Their follow up emails were cordial but Zapp did not consider it to be a widespread problem from their tone. A problem is a problem whether it is in CO or FL.
  • Also, if you use the Paypal button instead of entering your cc info on the Zapp page (which I do so I never have to get up and get a plastic card), you can log into PayPal to see if a payment has been made. This has happened to me too Richard, a couple of times, but I think it was once or twice for app fees and once for a booth. I simply double checked PP when I didn't get the email receipt and saw no payment had been made. PP pymts show up instantly where cc companies maybe not.

  • Natalie at Zapp got back to me today. Their system did not record the payment even though it showed me a receipt ( which never printed or sent confirming email receipt). After calling Chase MasterCard to confirm no payment went through, I did it again. This time it registered and I got an email confirmation. Moral of this take is be on your toes. I would hate to tick off a show with a late booth payment, thinking all was well at Zapp.
  • I have not had any problem so far with Zapp regarding the payments for shows. However, I still cannot get my portfolio of uploaded photos to show up when I click on the link...all I get is a blank page. The photos only show up when applying for a show and I have to pick the photos and booth shot. Can't figure out why they only show up at this point.

    I did ask about this on the zapp forum but had no luck getting it resolved.
