  • Great to hear this good news, Gayle. Sounded like a cool place for a sweet show.

  • Of all the shows I do, I look forward to being in Elmhurst more and more each year. I have come to trust  Roz Long's selectivity and experience, to appreciate her hospitality and openness, and to rely on the professionalism that she and her staff always display.
Elmhurst is a very artist friendly place and I feel warmly accepted and very complimented by the crowd this show draws. The show opened on Friday evening with about 600; a casual group of buyers; wine glasses in hand, compliments and support plentiful. Saturday brought far more traffic and better revenue.
I knew I had very respectable sales even though it felt a little bit off from last year, but when I added up, I was only $200 shy of 2013's revenue. Frankly, last year a trio of very tipsy ladies dropped $800 in my booth, so that boosted my numbers quite a bit. Had they been a little less tipsy, my numbers might have been the same as this year, so I am thrilled!
As per usual, I'm giving a big loud shout out to the Elmhurst gang.
Roz, David, Megan and all the volunteers deserve many kudos.
