  • I have the Crown Shade Canopy. I love the design of center piece. Push it to set it up under 2 minutes with no problem at all. I got some sand bags to weigh down the legs. At least till now, no problem. Price is good and i love it. www.amazon.com/CROWN-SHADES-Outdoor-Portable-Instant/dp/B078XR1CS8

  • I had a Euromax that got caught in a wind squeeze downtown and died a tragic death. But the sides and top were so good that when I bought an even heavier Caravan ( I know I'm 63 but don't admit it) I use the Euromax top and sides. You roll up the sides by pushing through a ball end loop bungee cord. since the sides are a long strip pushing it through doesn't make it fall. I wish I had a picture but they sell those little bungies at Harbor freight. And I'm tall so you need a 2 step ladder. sorry,,, ;-0

  • Thanks everyone for you advice. I have it narrowed down to the Eurmax Premium and the Undercover Professional Honeycomb-Core™ Aluminum Instant Canopy. The undercover canopy is lighter (65 pounds) has thicker fabric (600D) and looks a little easier to set up alone but you can't roll up the walls when not in use and the walls attach to the top of the frame instead of valcro strips on the underside of the top. I'm only 5 feet tall and don't think I will be able to reach the top of the frame when it is set up. Also the bag has very small wheels. The frame looks better because it has an internal honeycomb design. The Eurmax has a great bag with big wheels and I like the doorway entrance, and that all the walls can be rolled up when not in use. But it is 15 pounds heaver and the fabric is 500D, just a little thinner then the undercover. The frame doesn't look quite as strong as the undercover. Does anyone use the Undercover Professional Honeycomb-Core™ Aluminum Instant Canopy? I have trying to decide between the 2 for months now and need to buy in the next few days since my first art fair of this year is June 2nd.

  • I purchased a Eurmax about a year ago and yes, it is heavy for one person.  I'm a senior woman, working alone and I can handle it except for getting the first corner to click into place.  I usually ask a neighbor for a hand for a quick minute.  I have found it to be very stable and really works for me.  i recently purchased the new Caravan plastic water weights.  They hold the legs of the tent very well and are a good product and easier to handle than the sand bags.  The lids have developed cracks and i am contacting Caravan about that.  Hope this helps.

  • I have the Showoff Canopy. Sturdy aluminum frame. Dome ceiling. Quality materials. Pricey. 16 pieces. I can set it up by myself but it does help to have another person. I used a inexpensive Caravan for many years, but there is no comparison to the Showoff. I love it.

  • I have the Eurmax Basic package, got a good deal on Amazon (<$200) and it included sand weight bags, all walls, rolling case, tie down set, stuff bag for walls. Weighs less than the premium since the metal parts are smaller. We use pvc tube/concrete hanging weights and that's kept everything in one place. I've been happy with the quality and I use the door wall on the back so I can have a backdrop - that also hides my storage area - and the door gives me easy access. I can pull the rolling bag easily. I haven't tried to set it up alone, I think it would take some practice. My husband is with me at set up/tear down and together we can put up the frame and take it down very quickly. It's in its first season of use (4 shows so far) and too early to give a full review, so far I like it!

  • After much research, I just purchased a ProExpo.  I am super pleased with the quality.  I never did find one easy enough for one person to set-up and this one is also a two-man job, but if you are looking for a canopy that is waterproof, and made in the USA, this will fit the bill.

  • I have a trim line that is very heavy (and stable). It’s a bear to set up, but it will withstand a lot of bad weather. I used a ez up many years ago, but, after many iterations of adapting it to withstand heavy weather, I gave up and went to a trim line. Now, as I age, I’m again considering something that is easier to set up, and the Eurmax seems to be the best of the pop up tents. One problem is that some shows, like Columbus, do not allow pop up tents. Anyway, I’m also interested in hearing what others think about the Eurmax and their various models.
  • I did not put it up. I could barely drag the box into the house. If you have a second person to help, perhaps you will have better luck. On Eurmax site they have another model that weighs 56 lbs. That's the one I will probably get at some point.
  • Thanks Barbara, I was worried about the weight. I have a big wagon I was thinking I could put it in or on top of it if it's too heavy to drag. Did you get a chance to set it up?
