This fruit bowl is a wonderful piece of pottery! I first hand poured the 5" round bowl using slip (liquid clay) in to a large mold. I then hand poured each piece of fruit one at a time. Once dried and removed from the molds the bowl and fruit were fired in my kiln. After one firing they were glazed with non toxic lead free glaze and fired again. Once fired and cooled I arranged the fruit in to the bowl, glazed again and then fired again. It took about thirty two hours to make this one piece. The bowl contains mini pottery bananas, pears, oranges, peaches and nuts.It is a lovely piece to display anywhere in your home or to add to your pottery collection.Due to the handcrafted nature of my items, color and design variations will occur adding to unique qualities of the item. All pieces are made by hand, one at a time, no pieces will be exactly alike.
