I again re-designed my booth a bit and need a sturdy 4ft table. I have one from Wal-Mart, but it is a bit flimsy. I want one of the sturdy plastic ones. Does anyone have a good resource for this?

I made my own tables to size...using wood and table legs that you can find at the hardware store. The legs screw in and out for easy transport. I did have to sand the edges and then stain and varnish everything but they have held up nicely for the past three years. When they get bumped or scratched, I just apply more stain.

I am extremely allergic to sawdust! :-) Thank you for sharing, though. I guess I could inflict another task for my business on my husband.... Nah- think I will buy one. He just helped me out all weekend. The one at Target is $30. Better than I had thought I was going to have to pay. Home Depot was the next in price at $60 and CostCo was way too expensive. I like going there to shop, but you have to be careful on if their prices are more than other places sometimes.
I will check the quality of the one at Target. Hoping it can handle the weight. If not, I will go to Home Depot.

I bought the one at Target. Had it taken out of the box. More sturdy than the Wal-Mart one, though still a little wobbly. Will attach the shelves to the rafters and one leg to the tent leg. and the other to the other table.

You can also find tables at Ikea where the legs screw into the tabletop. If I remember correctly I bought the legs (can get different heights) and table top separately. I have not used this table for shows but I do have it in my workroom and I used to use it in my classroom when I was teaching. The 4' tables that I use for shows are the ones from Sam's Club. They fold in the middle and are easily portable.

I use a 4 ft. table that collapses in the middle (for easy transportation and has a handle). It is REALLY sturdy - the whole thing locks - legs and top. I believe I got it at Sam's Club for $40-45 - but have seen them at BJ's and I think other wholesale club places. They're around but these are the places I got mine.

Wonderful! Thank you all for sharing. One of those places will hopefully still have them and I can avoid shipping. It is good to know I can locally find a quality table.
What I did at my show this last weekend.. This was an indoor event that provided tables. Well I use 4 ft tall shelves and gridwall. So, I was about to move them out and someone suggested putting the shelves on top of the tables. Well, I was thinking that they would be way too tall then. It actually allowed me to use more of my shelving at eye level. The top shelves had some large items with many being duplicates, but they gave me high visibility if someone was across the room. These will be obscured in my tent, but I will use that to connect the top of the shelves to the framework of my tent. Also setting the shelving back just a bit on the tables gave me another surface for fliers, business cards and my photo book. I am really pleased by the results. I also just had my largest gross sales ever! Can't attribute it all to raising the shelves, but I think it helped a lot.
Target sells a good four foot table. I have a bunch of these and use them for staging when I shoot jury slides. I've changed the top on one to 1/2 inch plywood, covered it with the same carpet as my Propanels have and even raised the legs to a good working height for my booth. http://artshowphoto.com/pages/framingtable.htm
