"Interesting... I can, of course, open up the solid walls and hang mesh, for an airier and brighter booth. The stabilizer bars and grids are independent, so wouldn't need any changes. With my tent, the sides are hung from a cable, using clips. I…"

"Marc - I agree with Barry about the look/feel of silver walls and also the fact they block too much light.  I would also replace the white tablecloth with black.  I think your solution for hanging the art is brilliant.  You mentioned…"

"Do you think it's more because of the grids, or the silvery tent walls? Or, neither/both? --Marc"

Please critique my booth and booth photo

On the theory that the purpose of a booth is to support the sales plan, here's my sales plan:Target market is casual art-fair attendees who want an affordable photo to take home and frame.I'll be showing at non-juried craft and art shows, and some non-top-tier juried shows, mostly in Colorado. For sale in the…See More

"Kevin-- Thanks for the tip. But, I already bought the 6 bars (upper and lower on 3 sides) and, with the velcro loop, they work perfectly. So, no need for an alternative. I'll be posting photos (on a fresh thread) in a few days, once I get all…"

Robert Wallis replied to Marc Rochkind's discussion OK to Photoshop booth photos?
"It depends on what you're doing in Photoshop. It's a no-no to submit a booth shot that exists only in your computer. No illustration examples are expected, it should be a real one. That said, cleaning up the image in PS is okay if you have…"

"I am by no means an expert on this subject. I've weighed the same issues in my mind.  Although it is possible with proficiency in PS to make it almost undetectable that it was altered... A) the operative word being "almost" B)…"

OK to Photoshop booth photos?

I've been reading through lots of the booth reviews here, and it's frequently suggested that the images be Photoshopped to eliminate grass, drop new photos onto frames to eliminate glare, and similar things. Two questions, closely related, but not identical:Is it allowed by show rules? Is it ethical?I assume there's some limit, but perhaps hard to define. Presumably you can't fabricate the entire booth in Photoshop. How about putting fabric over the tent frame?See More
