"Thanks for your input Connie. All my artist friends think my booth looks very professional. I tried a couple of things that seemed to help at the last show. I put my largest pieces out front and also added a short wall in the booth so it breaks…"

"Don't be too concerned about over crowding, better to err on too much.  It won't sell if they can't see it.  Listen to your customer's comments on your booth display to see if you can pickup on their thoughts. …"

"If you don't display it, it isn't going to sell. It will be different for different mediums. I like my client to feel like they are also stepping back in time when they visit my booth of leather goods. If you look at photos of the old 19th…"

"With the exception of a both set up for a jury photo there is nothing wrong with having a wide and diverse selection of your work available at each show. I would not want my booth to be or look cluttered beyond being tastefully done. On the other…"

"Heartbreaking and nerve-wracking both, isn't it, Kathy? My best advice, if you want to move up to better shows, is to focus on what you think is your best work. What do you think is your personal vision, that you are the proudest of. Instead of…"

What are the best things about art fairs
Interacting with people ... getting feedback on your art
Best show ever and why
Waterfront Art Festival in Escanaba, MI

If the weather cooperates I always do well there. Escanaba supports the Arts and there is an art buying public that supports this show.
Worst show ever and why
Xmas Art & Craft Show - Marquette MI

Below zero weather - they played Country music over the loudspeakers. People came to power walk in a semi-warm building. Pretty dismal sales.
