- The people are fascinating!
- Best show ever and why
- Saline shows. They're a fine craft show (which is what I do), and they know what they're doing. They bring in buying customers and treat their exhibitors very well.
- Worst show ever and why
- Metamora. Two days on the street, but we had to move our tents off the street overnight, then back the next morning. (It was my first year and I didn't know what I was doing...) The promoter was there for most of the first day, but didn't show up until halfway through the second day and left early because attendance was so bad. I actually made decent money for two days in the rain, and I really learned a LOT, but it was a pretty bad experience.

I’m a fine crafter, not a fine artist.
There. I’ve said it.
I visit this site often, and I’m an avid reader of the comments here. I love to read the blogs about shows you’ve done, or your philosophies and perspectives on the art world. I’m fascinated by the thread about show integrity. I don’t tend to comment much because, well,
I’m a fine crafter, not a fine artist.
As a result, I’ve not always felt that my input belongs here.…
