"Kris, you have asked questions to which there are no definitive answers. Every artist, medium and show is different. You could sell well at a show one year and return the next to sell next to nothing. There is no predictable rhyme or reason to…"
"For what it's worth, I do not include tax in my pricing. However, when running a credit card I do make sure that the buyer understands/confirms the total they will see on their cc statement. In other words, I point out the tax I am…"
I love reading your reviews. I especially liked your comment "SWFL also must hold some record for the most decrepit fair attendees. Go-go scooters, casts, canes and bandages galore. Kind of like an art fair at Mayo Clinic".
"There are two studio "clearance" sales that encourage artists to bring their work to sell at discount prices. One is in Kalamazoo, MI. The other is in Columbus, OH sponsored by ODC. If my memory serves there might be a third…"

"I have done shows in IL and IA. I have an IA sales tax license. It is easy to apply for one online. The show I do in IL provides a form to remit your sales tax. I don't have a license for IL. I don't know about…"

Welcome to Art Fair Insiders! As a fellow fiber artist, I'd love to know more about what you do...I'm a knitter/felter who makes women's hats and handbags, etc. This is a wonderful site for meeting other artists and learning about the Art Fair business. Thanks for joining us and best of luck to you.
Well, we're glad to have you, Jeri. I've always been attracted to weaving and had a belt loom back in the day...what kinds of things do you weave? Wraps, scarves, rugs? You should download (upload?) some photos to your site if you haven't already.
Welcome to Art Fair Insiders, Jeri. Thank you for joining us. I hope you’ll find the site helpful and that you’ll share ideas and ask questions. The site is only as good as the participants make it. We have a lot to offer one another, experienced and newbie alike.
When you have a chance, please add a photo of yourself and stop by the "Discussions" area to introduce yourself to the rest of us. Visit the "member map" and add your location.

Best wishes, Connie Mettler
