  • Thank you kindly Lucia. Another reminder to everyone about how buy/sell can effect a show. What a shame, another one bites the dust.

  • I've done this show for the past 7 years but opted for another show this past December. This used to be one of my best shows of the year. It's super close to home and I was one of the fortunate ones to be able to have my van right behind my booth. I make jewelry (of course) and ladies clothing items. Sadly this show has been on a steady decline. The show has gotten considerably smaller from year to year so much so that the promoter actually called to ask why I hadn't sent in my contract this year. She said she wasn't sure there would be a show next year. Don't know how true that is but not a good sign.
It's a shame, attendance isn't what it used to be, lots of buy/sell, no longer one of the good ones.
  • Thank you kindly C Z~ your reply is very helpful. I was afraid of hearing about buy/sell @ this show. I also heard that it has turned into a flea marketfest. To bad....

  • I did this about 5 years ago.  There were more than 300 artists and I found a lot of it to be commercial (shutters, awnings, services) and a lot of buy/sell, the rest were crafts.  I was one of only a very few painters (about 5 or less)  The shoppers are there for Christmas presents so the buy/sell & crafters did well.  You may do well with your jewelry.  Hopefully there are some crafters her who have done it & will reply.
