  • You hit a good point there, Barrie. There is a lot of excellent writing on this site. I try to read it all. But if you see a review of a show you don't do, aren't interested in doing, and you skip the review you may miss the rest of the meat, the musing, the philosophical underpinnings and good discussions. Not enough hours in the day ...

  • I just wanted to step back into this thread to mention the photography of Jim Sincock. I didn't know about him until today and really got taken with it. His work is outstanding that I viewed on his website. He had commented in Nels's thread about Uptown. Also, I wouldn't normally have taken the time to read about that show since it's a summer event and I don't care that much for this season to be outdoors with our art. SO, I just got lucky today. Check out Jim Sincock's work. It's outstanding, original photography. And in this digital world, he's making and spreading his own light sensitive photographic emulsion on paper. WOOHOO!

  • Gosh, this one's a toughie. After much deliberation, two of them seem tough to beat, but the other two are really enjoyable and certainly worthy of shortlisting here. I like Nels's the most! Really, what a great read. WOOHOO!
