Question about display of 3-D art

Newby to the art display world.  I am a glassblower, and have done a few of the local 'Art in the Park' shows.  I currently have 3 tables, that I put in a 'U' shape, with a couple of risers on each table.  I leave the center of the booth open to allow customers in to view all pieces. I don't have any panels or shelves.  Any suggestions?

  • Terry, do you walk around art shows to see how others display their glass?  You could probably get lots of ideas looking at other glass displays.  I love blown glass.  I think it is all so beautiful.  There aren't that many people who do it anymore.  I hope other glass blowers stop by to give you some ideas.

  • personally as a buyer of art glass, I like to see a pro-panel display with either backlighting or under lighting on the glass. but I think how you display your art will also determine its value to the buyer.  the better the display the more value is placed on the art.  ( this has nothing to do with pricing but on intrinsic value assigned by the buyer). just a thought.
