I hate when the painting won't speak to me...

I am roasting my watongus off in the steamy miserable Florida summer, begging a painting to speak to me.  Should I buy it flowers?  Take it out to dinner?  Absolute silent treatment...

  • Margaritas always help me! Probably we just need to get out and relax, go outside and change the scenary. Then we come back fresh! Nothing that a Margarita can't fix ;)
  • Thanks Lori..I'm just muddling through it, two margaritas in a nice AC restaurant did help!!  It's the pressure of needing to have this commissioned piece finished before we pack up for the road in two weeks, and there's no way out but through.
  •  Some paintings are just emotionally uanavailable, time to move on and find a new love relationship.  regards Dr. Phil
  • Thanks Carla...I think it's the heat.  maybe I'll just buy me flowers and paint them instead!
  • PS. Reading your site made me think about this:

"We can throw stones, complain about them, stumble on them, climb over them, or build with them." In your case is "or paint them" I love it!

  • OMG, you made me laugh. Well, buy her flowers because your paintings are so impressive! Wow! You make rocks be a piece of art. I admire your work. I had the same feeling last week, hated my painting and started to paint something different over it. I ended up liking it better but made me try a theme that I never did before. After that I got my "MOJO" back. Sometimes is the canvas, sometimes the weather, sometimes you just need to go out for a walk, I don't know, but just buy her flowers :)
