Help for Artists Low on Funds

Perhaps you missed this post in the discussions the other day, I'd like to draw it to your attention: Help for artists that have severe financial problems. I'm offering to work on images (or even photograph artwork) at a price that they can afford (or free if necessary) for artists that are having severe financial problems and need better jury images to get into shows. I did this a few years ago for artists from New Orleans that had problems. If you know of any artists that have recently gone through some serious financial times, have them give me a call. • I think its great that you would be willing to offer your services to artists in need. I am new in the art fair this summer and looking for a tent. I was hoping for a 10x12 and Im having a hard time finding one. I was hoping to even rent one in the Appleton, Wisconsin area. Any comments on tents and do you really feel that I have to have one that looks like all the other artists have? Also, the space provided for us is 10x15 so I am assuming that I should go a bit smaller and not be jammed into the space. Any ideas? I do jewelry and dont need a huge area. Thanks
  • This is a wonderful thing Larry Berman is doing. We are all going through tough times as artists right now. Blessing upon him. Also Richard, trading artwork for booth space is fantastic, but I am too far away. I am in Florida, do you have any shows down in the Tampabay area, Gulf Coast side of Florida?
  • It's great to hear of Larry Berman's generosity and I love your offer too, Richard. I'd love to trade art work for a booth space at one of your events!
  • Larry Berman should be lauded for his kindness, time and generousity. How often do you see anybody willing to provide such a service for free or little cost-Aloha Larry from Nels
