When you do 30 shows a year with art work that is very time consuming, where you can't make prints, that is a big red flag!

I guess I'm naive in thinking that the people known to have but sell like that would be weeded out of these larger better shows.

I won't name a name but there is a man who has buy /sell papercuttings that are copies of Swiss papercutters' work (available for sale on Ebay, and for sale there for a few dollars - he sells them for several hundred) in his booth. Also, he is getting awards in the many really good shows he gets into. His own layered cuttings are quite good. However, the other work is clearly a different style but judges know very little about fine art paper cutting and don't seem to notice the European vs Asian style differences.

Please explain this comment. I would say that the judges need to examine all the art more closely.
