Hi,
Has any one done the " Bluffton Annual Arts and Seafood Festival" in Bluffton, SC. It is in October and a paper application.I recall that someone from the group did but can't remember who and don't know where to look for the info. I am Sooo technically challenged.
I would greatly appreciate any info that you could provide.
Thanks, Virginia

Thanks Leslie.
Thanks Winthrope for you help, I appreciate it.
I did the show last year. Amazing food; gorgeous location! I loved being there because of that. People who were known to the crowd and had done the show for a period of time seemed to do a lot better. I do relief prints but just made a little over expenses there.
I'm a photographer and have done the show the last two years. It is well run and attracts an art savy crowd with deep pockets. I highly recommend it!
Virginia, I'm not a good judge of what 2D art would work in this show. If you haven't already, you can check out last year's artists to get a sense of their work... http://www.blufftonartsandseafoodfestival.com/artists.html
Kathy, Your work is wonderful, great colors and how the stands compliment your pieces. I guess one would say your work in contemporary. Yes?
Kathy,
You are so kind to answer my call. Thanks for your info and I just read what you wrote last year. I am in Atlanta area so about a 5 hour drive, not so bad. My quandary is , do I apply with my abstract work or my traditional Pastel work. I guess I could double apply. I have attached two images of each type of my work. Any feedback would be appreciated. I think as a whole SC may be more conservative but who knows. What do you think Kathy since you walked and did that show. Thanks
I personally like this show. It's easy to set up/break down, show management is laid back and my sales are solid. It is a local show for me so my expenses are very low. Not only locals but also lots of tourists who buy. Others would need to speak up as to whether it's a good show for them if they have travel expenses.
I did a blog a couple of years ago... http://www.artfairinsiders.com/profiles/blogs/bluffton-sc-arts-and-...
