  • Thanks, Connie. I did it both in the park for a number of years  and on the street last year. To me, on the street, it looked like a LOT of artists. But when it’s all in 2 long rows, it does tend to look like that. When it was in the park (and around) it was too crowded anyway.

I liked the street; just so much easier to set up.  Plus in the park, if you got an inner location, your sales suffered. The customers said they liked it too. They knew they were not going to miss anyone.

  • Lin, these are the figures they provided me. What I am thinking is that because they are taking the show back to the park that there isn't as much space, and I believe (correct me if I'm wrong folks) that the spaces are going to be only on the perimeter, not in the park as in years past, so this would eliminate spaces also.
  • Connie, I just saw that you said the spring Birmingham show now has 190 artists. This is smaller than before, right? Art Fair sourcebook lists it at 242 artists. Has it been the smaller number since the Guild took it over (2010)? Thanks!
