Elkhart, is a proud supporter of the arts and is pleased to host the only premier winter art show in Michiana. This show will feature bold and vibrant paintings, contemporary, and whimsical art including sculpture, fine woodwork, glass, jewelry and pottery among the many original works of art.
The show will be marketed to Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Illinois through several medias to heighten the attendance and is held at a popular and classy destination, the Northern Indiana Event Center, visible from the I-80/90 Toll road.
Through our shows, talented artists in a variety of mediums are able to share their love of creating art with everyday people. Therefore we personally invite artists of the finest quality to assure unique work in a variety of mediums.
Why participate in this show? We have already lined up several well known artists and would like to extend our invitation to you. We accept only a few artists per medium to participate in each show to insure participating artists will benefit financially. We will also go above and beyond to accommodate the artists and market their each work.This show will have a lounge area for patrons to relax to stay longer at the show. Our food vendor will be serving a variety of coffees, deli sandwiches, and chocolate treats for Valentine's Day. In addition, there will be music in the air, art dollar giveaways. A portion of the door fee will benefit the Elkhart Art League.
Attendance: We are marketing this show to art buyers between 35 and older.
Expect: drive up to load and unload; reasonable booth fee; professional management
In addition, we believe in introducing the arts to the young so we will feature local children's authors and illustrators. For we believe art teaches genuine life skills and breaks down diverse economic and social backgrounds.
Once your application and fee is accepted you will receive an email with all the details you will need for the show.

As one of the fine artists who participated in this show, I'd like to say how impressed I was with Shireen as the organizer/promoter. She promoted the event multiple times on television, through social media and by word of mouth. The event itself was extremely organized and well done, with live, acoustic music, a soft seating area, beverages and very good food. Shireen has a keen attention to detail and took great care to place artists where they would not be in direct competition with each other (much appreciated). I heard many customers throughout the day comment on how nicely everything was put together. In all, I can say that this was one of the most pleasant shows I've ever done.
The artists who were in the show proved to Elkhart that "For the Love of Art" delivered the finest talent Elkhart has seen for years. Someone from Sunshine Magazine even came out to review the show. I'm very selective and only allow a few artists per medium so everyone benefits. I believe quality is better than quantity. I will be working on a web image for "Fine Art on the Farm" for the artist calling.
So pleased to hear this, Rhonda. I hope, Shireen, that you got lots of good feedback and you are making the plans for presenting more smaller "boutique" types of shows like this in the area. I think they can work well not only for you, but for the people participating, and bringing high quality one of a kind work into these communities in the Michiana area.
(I'm so sorry I was unable to attend. I've had so much trouble on the road this winter that I was fearful of getting on the Toll Road. Today had to drive to Battle Creek for a doctor's appointment and my car did not like I-94. Staying home until it is 38*.)
Shireen: This was a fantastic show! Every single person was saying how professional and high quality the art was. Even the food was absolutely mouth watering. I was talking with a lady from Goshen and she's hoping you might have an event there. A lot of what I get from a show cannot be measured in "currency". I do pretty well, but the shows are about so much more than that. There's no better way to energize your soul than to talk with customers and fellow artisans. Congratulations! I just can't say enough about how fun and well run this show was. And, to drive right inside to load and unload? Wow! Keep up the great work.
Inova Credit Union will be providing twp ATM machines at the event. You will also find a lounge area where you can take in music, food and drink.

So some of you are a little skeptical about a first time show, but I assure you this show is a FINE ART SHOW. Here are a few of the artists already signed up.....George Millet, John Mishler, Mark Thorgerson, Deb Eiswald, to name a few. Get your app in ASAP. In addition, I only allow a few artists per medium to assure sales for everyone.

I'm Shireen, the organizer and promoter of "For the Love of Art". I have chosen a perfect location and time to put on this event. Think about it, people want to get out of the house by February and their open to spending again (income tax return). My events are organized to keep people at the show by providing eats, drinks and entertainment. This is just like my Art and Music in the Vineyard show with a roof over the top. Patrons will be able to relax in the lounge area (located in the middle of the show, while sipping on hot chocolate, or a home brewed beer. I hope you will join me creating the only premier inside show to Michiana.
